 Home Energy & Water Evaluation Backpack Workshop-  Mandarin Branch!

Join us for this one-hour workshop to learn how to do your own home energy and water audit and save money on your utility bill!

       The Green Team Project and JEA have expanded the backpack program to include water use evaluation tools.  Now you will have the tools to:

  • Find water leaks and estimate their water costs
  • Check if your faucets and appliances are water efficient
  • Determine if your irrigation system is watering efficiently     

      The backpacks still include the great energy efficiency measuring tools to help you conserve energy, identify problem areas in your home, and tips on how to fix them!

You and your family can discover ways to save money on your utilities by learning how to use the JEA “Do-It-Yourself” Home Energy & Water Efficiency Evaluation Backpack Kit. It’s fun, easy to use, and available free for checkout to anyone with a Jacksonville Public Library Card.*

      A limited number of backpacks will be available at this workshop for checkout. This is a great project to do with the whole family where everyone can learn how to be an energy and water detective in your home.  Sign up today!

*Backpacks are available to anyone with a St. Johns County Public Library Card at the Bartram Trails and Ponte Vedra Beach Branches.  Backpacks are also available to anyone with a Jacksonville or Nassau County Public Library Card at any library branch in their respective county.
